Contacting the Addiction Rehabilitation Professionals

Upon calling the Greenfield Center our staff will treat you with the utmost respect. We understand addiction. You’re not a bad person trying to become a good person, you are suffering from addiction and we are here to help you get well. Addiction is a disease we understand, we have lived it.
It doesn’t matter why you are calling, or if a family member or friend is calling for you, we understand.

What to expect when you contact the Greenfield Center?

We will immediately schedule an appointment with one of our doctors to do a biopsychosocial evaluation and assessment. Upon completion of the assessment, a treatment plan will be formulated for you as an individual. Our treatment program is comprehensive, we have group therapy along with individual therapy to help you deal with life on life’s terms without the use of substances. Treatment consists of lectures and group discussions along with twelve step work and the healing of the heart and spirit. We also have cognitive behavioral therapy which will help you cope with stressors in a healthy way. Our intensive outpatient program consists of group therapy Monday through Thursday evenings for a period of 10 to 12 weeks. Evening sessions will not disrupt your family life or employment.

Our staff is committed to helping you help yourself and your family as you begin to recover and enjoy the sober life that recovery brings. Because addiction is a family disease we also have family group therapy, which is included in your treatment and is facilitated by a licensed clinical professional.

Upon completion of initial treatment we provide an alumni group at no cost to you for a continuum of care. This group meets once a week and is facilitated by a counselor.

Insurance for Alcohol and Drug Treatment

Our administrative staff will be in contact with your insurance provider and be able to provide you with information relating to your coverage for behavioral health. This will let you know what your benefits for addiction Intensive Outpatient Treatment will be and what, if any, financial responsibility you will have. Insurance deductibles and copays vary and all financial plans are individual and tailored to your needs.

Legal Issues Relating to Drug or Alcohol Abuse

In some cases patients may have legal issues that need to be resolved. This could be criminal charges, family law problems related to divorce or child custody issues, etc. The Greenfield center is able to correspond with attorneys, probation officers, and the legal system with your written consent. We provide updates on your treatment and how you are being proactive about correcting your behavior as it relates to alcohol and other substances of abuse. Dr. Greenfield and Dr. Jackson can testify in court.

Psychological and Mental Health Support

For those patients in need of medication management for various psychological disorders, we refer out to the necessary providers to address these issues.

Your Job and Employer Requirements

Some patients are referred for treatment by their EAP or Human Resources Department through work. We can provide the necessary paperwork for FMLA, short term disability or last chance agreements as required by your employer.

DUI Charges and the Criminal Courts

The Greenfield Center is a treatment provider for the Northeast Florida Safety Council for those individuals with DUI charges. We provide the NEFLSC your initial treatment plan and discharge summary upon successful completion of the program.
